Шмит нови високи представник у БиХ

Кристијан Шмит данас је изабран за новог високог представника у Босни и Херцеговини, а ту функцију преузима 1. августа ове године.

Шмитов избор на чело ОХР-а услиједио је након оставке Валентина Инцка, који је на челу ОХР-а био 12 година. Шмит је за новог високог представника у БиХ именован на сједници Савјета за провођење мира (ПИК), с чим се Русија није сложила.

Шмит је истакао да ће основа његовог дјеловања у БиХ бити да ради у сагласности са представницима међународне заједнице, изабраним функционерима, грађанима БиХ и младим људима, те да ће појачати рад на испуњавању 5+2 услова за затварање ОХР-а.

„Најважније је да земљу испратимо на њеном изазовном путу ка Европи”, посебно је нагласио Шмит.

Додао је да се радује да га је Управни одбор на приједлог Њемачке владе изабрао и додијелио му задатак да буде насљедник Валентина Инцка.

„Захвалан сам Инцку на његовом изванредном ангажовању у обављању функције високог представника на корист људи у БиХ. Увјерен сам да ће беспрјекорно обављати свој посао до 1. августа 2021. године. А што се тиче мојих изјава, ствар је добре праксе да до преузимања функције останем уздржан у давању политичких изјава о БиХ”, рекао је Шмит.
